Wildlife Blind Update & Star Party

Wildlife Blind Designs

The Friends of Oracle Park are excited to share drawings of the new Wildlife Blind, designed by the accomplished landscape architect Jim Pollack. We are at present working with park management to obtain cultural clearance so that we can begin the building process and surrounding habitat improvement.

As soon as we have the go ahead, we will also start reaching to to our community of friends and to conservation groups for funding. We have received a $5,000 start-up donation from a generous FOSP member, but we still need to raise $10,000 more. Find out how you can contribute...

Kannally Cottage & Homestead House Repairs

In other realms, the FOSP volunteers have begun repair work on the Kannally Sisters’ Cottages and the Adobe Homestead House. FOSP is also working with the Oracle State Park Manager on new geology signage.

Park Programs Restart in Fall

There is still more good news. Park programs and events will restart in September! In the meantime, the Park remains open for hikes and star-gazing. (see Park Programs and Events). Some safety protocols still apply, so be sure to check their website.

FOSP Board Meeting

The next FOSP Board meeting will be held on Thursday, June 24, at 9.30 AM. The meeting, which is open to all FOSP members, will be held at the Kannally Ranch House. Masks and social distancing are recommended if you have not been vaccinated. Please contact us if you have any questions.
